Title of the project: “New Skills for New Jobs”; Funded by: DVV International Sarajevo; Beneficiaries: Direct beneficiaries of the project are unemployed persons registered with Employment Services Office of Hercegovina-Neretva Canton, identified as difficult to employ category, as follows:
-    persons over 40 years of age,
-    non-qualified persons and drop-outs between 18 and 35 years of age,
-    socially marginalised persons (users of social benefits)
-    employees at the risk of dismissal.
Target groups (indirect beneficiaries):
-    SMEs (potential employers)
-    Employment services bureaus,
-    Educational institutions,
-    Ministry of Education of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton,
-    Civil society organisations.

Activities:

Activity 1: Establishment of a network of partners involved with local policies related to education, labour and employment.

Activity 2: Promotional activities.

Activity 3: Organisation of training
Planned Project activity is organisation of training for Operators of construction machinery for loading and transport, in cooperation with High Mechanics and Traffic School in Mostar, for at least 10 course-takers from the territory of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. LiNK Association conducted an analysis of requirements of the labour market in the territory of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, in December 2009, which, inter alia, identified a requirement for this type of professionals in local companies.

Activity 4: Organisation of practical training for all persons that have been attending trainings in local companies

LiNK Association will organise practical training in local companies for at least 10 course-takers who have successfully completed training for Operators of construction machinery for loading and transport. Practical training will be organised in local companies, LiNK Association members.

Activity 5: Organisation of a round table with a topic: “Collaboration of the educational system and business sector aimed toward creating new jobs”
